i'm not shure but think so i have not sorted out pics from this summer on the east coast yet the other one you mentioned i belive was from lead east 03 i have seen it in that erea several times
TheFrenZ, that grille is similar to Gene Winfield's 50 Merc with 511 rear fenders. Its made out of two '51 Merc optional bumpergards and alot of hard work.
That sure is Joe Carloni's Merc. That was his last one from what i understand. People forget that Joe Carloni actually built some nice, tasteful, well done cars before his likeness became known for the radical bondo-slathered creations he built in the later years of his life.
This car was built by habitual chopped Merc bulder Rich ONeill from Pennsylvania. If you think this ones nice you should see his Hirohata esque 51.
No Frenz but I was gonna tell you to post the pics of that one later. It was called the Purple bug and was from the all time great Drivin Deuces car club back in the 50.s. The car was done by Monaco auto Body if Im not mistaken. This pic was taken at the Teaneck armory in 62. THe flamed merc was brought to Jersey in 85 by Phil Bigotto. It was a famous car called So Fine when it was built by Bob Johnson in Council Bluffs Iowa. It was in every mag in the early 80s with ghost scallops when it won the King of Mercs ***le. The red one with the Pontiac grille was done by Pat Orsillo who now ownes the Copper Dust 51 OLds by Barris. THis merc had a ****in *** kickin Carson top shop interior.
THIS car was built by Rich ONeill from Pennsylvania who has built a ****skew of Barris influenced Mercs over the last 15 years.
This sleazy masterpeice was done by Enfield auto body and painted it black before Zadroga got it and painted it red and added the quad lights. I have heard that Tony Bruskavage did the headlights but Nitti said he did them. The car than went to Philly where it was shown by John Kipe and the last time it was seen was on the turnpike in Deleware broken down in 66.The person who saw it was famous Maryland painter,Richard Glymph.
Later Frenz and I will be bringing you Frank Pisanos candy chopped merc,Nittis sectioned convert,Frank Bedachts Lavender Blue ,Bill Abates 51 and "switchblade"Joe Genitempos black chopped merc along with many others . STAY TUNED......
