There's a thread on The HAMB called "The Race of Gentlemen 2015"...on pg 21 there's some great pics of Jessi driving The Craftsman twin four banger on the beach at Wildwood NJ. The steering wheel actually came off in her hands while crossing the finish line...she waved it triumphly. She seemed like a great lady in the photos.
@340HilbornDuster there has been a memorial thread going since early this morning on Jessi's p***ing...that aside thoughts are with those affected... https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/jessi-combs-rip-girl.1162798/
A very sad day! She was an amazingly talented young woman. I've been a fan of hers for years. We have definitely lost an amazing craftsman who had a major impact on almost every aspect of the automotive community. She will be missed Bobby
She wasn't just another pretty lady on TV hosting car shows, she was the real deal. A cl*** act who knew how to wrench and build, and truly the kind of woman we all dream of. Such a sad thing to hear of her p***ing.
I was shocked when I heard it... Searched the HAMB for her...didn't find anything... Keep Speeding Jesse! Sent from my SM-G930T using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
A few years back I would have said what a tragic waste. But now as I watch my Dad who is 87 and other dear friend's who are slowing loosing all the wonderful memories that have made up their lives. Maybe going out at high speed with a smile on your face and a mind full of great moments, even at a young age is not so tragic! Still a great loss, may she rest in peace. Larry
Growing up in the Rapid City area where Jesse grew up our local Rapid City news announced today the cause of her accident. It was a front wheel that broke, speculation is that it could have hit something in the playa.
