I hear a speical screening of a Monster Garage episode will be held in Toronto this Wednesday evening. More info on www.exn.ca. You are invoted to bring your bike, hot rod or custom car to the show. Apparently its like a drive-in movie. Too bad I'll be in Philly!
I was really impressed with JJ after seeing the last Monster Garage... They modified a mercedes SUV so that it had hand-controls and wheelchair lift for a "physically challenged" driver (is that still the PC term? I know it all changes annually.) Anyway, at the end of the show, he just gave it to a random wrench-head that had been paralyzed from the chest down in an auto-accident. Was it a publicity stunt? Maybe. Was it a cool thing to do, definitely!
It might have been a publicity stunt but I bet that kid doesn't care, they could have a ton of stuff to get publicity but chose to do something cool. I thought that was pretty cool, too.

That was a move in the right direction- but dont count on it being a trend........the producer probably reads on the Hamb- comments about the show!
That kid they gave it too crashed his car going over 130mph!! There are only a few things you should be doing going that fast, and if he didn't have proper safty equipment, maybe he shouldn't have been going that fast!! Why didn't they have a wheel chair battle or something w/ the two guys that actually built the thing and give it to one of them?!! There the one's that actually deserved it. Just my opinion though. -peter
I bought a copy of Old Skool Rodz, and I was just checking out the pic on the Jesse James '36. Looks like a nice car, except I can't see the whole car. The model is beyond hot. No complaints there. But I know who JJ is. I don't need 5 or 6 pictures of him. Is it too much to ask to see ONE shot of the entire car? Maybe since I have a '36, I am overly sensitive to the car. But I don't think so. Anyone have any pics of this thing? The chop is brutally low...
I too just bought the magazine and thought the same thing, cool car - wish I could see it! I think we should go to the Ol Skool Rodz website and let them know!
