That was my favorite episode! My high school had a fleet (about 12) of HoneyBees as drivers training cars on the closed course when I took the class in '77. My friends and I tore those things up...powerbraking...speedshifting....spinning out, pretending we didn't already know how to drive:rolleyes:. The were basically bumper cars, but they kept running for years.

I hadn't seen a HoneyBee since. Brought back some good memories.

  5. Jesse, you just gotta get a narrowed beam, 2276 w/ IDA's or a TO-3, Berg 5, etc into that Heb....
I can hear the "Vintage Nazi's" crying already....
Glad the Sour Kraut is staying in the collection, that night at Nicks was friggin' classic !!!!

Looks like you ended up with Bruce Braun's cars....

correctamundo my friend. The game hasn't changed a bit in the last few decades. I've had cars "sold" to me a couple times when the game went south, and I've been used to push someone up as well. I stopped going in any formal capacity after that. I don't sleep well when that happens. It wasn't at the B-J or Kruse...you guys can figure out who it was.

Here's another one that happens...sell someone a big-dollar car that frequents the sales, you get "black-balled" in the game because it's sometimes perceived you cancelled out a potential sale for the auction house. Paranoia? Absolutely not. Been there twice, once after a Duesy sale I handled for $775K, the final blow was a 500K Mercedes for $2.4M, not through auctions. Even with a satified customer and all documentation of authenticity, history, etc, I supposedly "buried my customers" in over-priced cars. In the end, fuck em. I did walk away for a lil over a dozen years but now I'm back. What did I know all along? Well during bad times when NOTHING was selling the Mercedes brought $2.8M when it was time to sell. We have a standing offer of $1.2M on the Duesy but it's not for sale. I practically NEVER sell a person a car on "spec" and may never play the auction game still to this day.

With all these HD TVs it ought to be easy to figure out what's really happening for the less seasoned. Look and remember the faces as the days go by.

Now I really like the look of this part of your shop, and the project is going to kick ass for sure. There are haters and suck ups everywhere, all I have to say is you get the job done and your welding and fab work is right on..... this is coming from a person who would rather build something than buy it!!

Jesse, this is something I've always wondered and has bugged me a bit and now I can ask. Why did you try to have her leg fixed? was it detrimental to her health? It seems like you crapped out on an awesome dog on something that wasn't serious. I'm not saying your heart wasn't absolutely in the right place, I'm just curious is all. I'd do anything in the world including getting another mortgage on my house for my 3 pups. and Thank You for saving her from that junk yard!:)

What is the big black air tank in pic of streamliner or is it a air tank? Fantastic build room. No windows, no phone and a lock on the inside of the door would make it perfect!

Trust me! My wife and I have second guessed ourselves a million times on the decision to have ger leg removed.....I wish we would have just left it alone....But the fact was her little chicken wing leg was really messed up.....Besides the fact it was messing up her little shoulder because she was actually trying to walk with a leg that wasn't there, and she kept falling on her chin. The leg was also facing foward and "hook" shaped and we were afraid it was going to get caught on somthing and tear it open.
We really felt that we were trying to make her life better....

Never thought I would have got the call from the vet saying her heart gave out during surgery.....

    makes me bummed today.....

    Ruby is cool as shit...

I don't thin kthere are as many haters as you think, most people just know that this really isn't the place. They're accepted in small doses, but when it starts getting in the way of what this board is about then they have to go. There are plenty of boards for VW's, something that has been pointed out a lot. Same goes for muscle cars and street rods....
