Since I am the "truck" I thought I'd interject here...I will be in TN on the 16th and 17th, leaving Nashville early on the 18th so I should be in OKC around dinnertime on the 18th. Will be spending the night in OKC so that will leave some time to meet up with you Rocky. I will be going to Albuquerque on the 19th and then down to San Diego on the 21st.

Jim A...I live in El Cajon which is about 10 miles inland from San Diego. I can hold on to whatever Rocky gives me until the end of the month but not much longer. Send me an email or PM and we'll make arrangements for pick-up after I get back....

  4. CHARLIE??? How does this work out that you will be helping me twice??? I also have a Quarter panel in Nebraksa that needs picking up, and room or way we could coordinate to get it on this load? Please let me know, Rocky or Charlie. Thanks Jim

    What part of Nebraska, Jim?

  6. The part is in Hastings. Is that a possibility? Thanks For all you help with this! Jim
We have a Rodders Rep in Grand Island I can ask to help as well.

I gotta go to Hastings to bring home my new 65 chevy pickup but not until the title situation is straightened out with it...hopefully this next week or so. It's 150 miles from me.
Tell me about this 1/4 panel..a skin or a complete cut-off with half the floor? I'll be trying to get it in my little astro van along with all your model A jun, er, stuff.

  8. Awesome! It's a complete quarter with just a couple inches of subrail so I can properly remove it.Just e-mail or PM me to get the details. So that guy didn't "lose" the other parts, I was scared.

No, he didn't lose 'em..he's not coming out to sunny Cal for awhile so I drove up to his place and rescued them. I gotta Rocky-goodtime-van fulla model A body parts with no place to stash 'em. They've got a lot of miles on 'em now. Wish I had more room for storage. What kinda car is this 1/4 panel from? I suppose a 66-67 Lincoln coupe or maybe a 67 Chrysler 300? One of those 34 acre 1/4 panels?

  10. '28 Model A Tudor Sedan- all in the same family. Thanks Jim

Better be careful boys, there's a limit to how much I can carry and since I haven't seen these molds yet I'm not sure what that limit is yet. I could rent a bigger truck but the added cost would have to be paid by someone other than me... [IMG]

  13. OK, let me know if it fits or if this is even a possibility. Thanks Jim
If it doesn't fit Rocky I'll get it Greyhounded or something. Just trying to relace the totally rusted out parts I bought a couple weeks ago. I thought he said "rust free", apparently he meant, "the rust IS free!" And this from a bodyshop runnin' rat-rodder type (but not a HAMBer).

Charlie, would you like me to go over to Rick's and get some measurement of those molds? Or how about some pictures?

That would really help! Rick said he unbolted the main body panels and that he measured the two longest sections...they're about 10 ft. I'm not sure how big the other pieces are because they may or may not have bracing on them. I was thinking that a truck with a 10' box should be big enough...it's 10x6x6. Thanks...

Jim A's stuff consists of a model A cowl with tank [loose] and windshield posts...attached, it's a coupe/sedan cowl. There are a pair of 5 or 6 foot long splash aprons and some little parts like the windshield frame amd a floor piece. The little parts will fit under the cowl, as it sits on the floor and the tank fits in the cowl, natcherly. Doesn't take up much room.

    Rocky, pm'd ya man.

  18. I probably shouldn't ask, but no one is going way out of their way here are they? Don't see how Nebraska is on the way from So. Cali to Tenn, but you guys must have something figured out. If I had to choose, I'd want to get my quarter panel out here. Rocky, if it becomes a problem remember those A parts unbolt into "bite size" pieces, including the quarter panel into two halves. Thanks Jim

  19. Jim,

Can I get you to send Dixiedog a PM about the GG Tallahassee show? he's good with what you offered. Once again, I appreciated it.
