  2. I got to know Mr. Jim( 48fordnut ) directly here from the HAMB. He had put out a call to help on the Chapel to help work on his roadster and I felt the need to answer. I'm so glad I did because he and I quickly became friends. I live approx. 5 hrs from him but got to go spend time a few different times at his home/shop with Mr. Jim,his daughter Rose and a family friend(Pappy). To go from not knowing them from Adam...we quickly became family. While helping on the roadster I got to hear old hot rod stories, times in the Air Force, slingshot drag racing and everything between. These trips and times meant a lot to him I know but also meant the world to me. I'll link his obituary but to let you know how much this place meant to him...he wanted this in his obituary..

In his spare time, Jim enjoyed rebuilding planes, race cars, and hot rods. He was a member of the H.A.M.B. a message board for Hot Rod enthusiasts. Jim described himself as "just an old man who loves God, Family, and Racing."

I'll try to get some pictures rounded up of our time working on the car and post some
