Being that John is not in the best of health I would like to thank him and tell him that it was an honor for me to work by his side on this car for the past few years. He has poured blood sweat and tears (not to mention lots of dough) into this car and seeing and hearing it run again gave us all an indescribable feeling. Kudos to John.

Excellent video of the fabulous piece of history. You should be proud of what you have accomplished.

Jim is probably one happy guy seeing his once baby looking great.

They also helped out with Jim's Austin. You can see them in some of the photos in that era.

I know the guys for many years. Having grown up in the south towns. There are still motor heads after all these years.

    Nice photos!

I love the Full size photo. I think the blonde hair guy is a friend of mine from Iroquois Central in Elma. We used to share lockers in high school. Him and I used to talk drag racing all the time.

These pictures put a smile on my face.

That 55 had a straight axle if I remember. I still remember the time Denny came to my folks house and jumped on it and slid across the road into the ditch on Bullis rd in Elma. I think he thought he was at Niagara!

Been a huge of fan of the guy and his cars. I used to drive by the shop on the way from work and glance over there to see what was going on.

Thanks for the info, above too.

Raymay, You mention the rare '48 Morris Van that Ron bought. I got that van from Skyway Auto Wreckers in St. Catherines Ontario in 1965 and built it with a new HP271 horse 289/C4. I sold it to Paul Forbes when we were going to build our first house, he painted it yellow. Ron bought it from Paul and painted it black, then he sold it to Randy & Yvonne Davis in PA and they still have it. The picture was taken at the 1971 NSRA Street Rod Nationals in Memphis Tennessee--oh, my wife Linda and I drove it there from North Tonawanda, NY.
