Does any body have any information on Jim Sellers from Newark. He was my Uncle and my inspiration to drag race. I used to hang around K and G in Newark and knew Cookie and I went to Pomona with George Cureton once but I never asked them about Jim. I found out just lately that he had one of the Old Reliable cars.I always thought he had a Chevelle. Any information or pictureswould be great . Thank you Dave Van Pelt III

The car that Jim Sellers last raced is now owned & raced by Jim Macenzie. It is not an original Dave Strickler Old Reliable car. It now runs a big block Chevy, not a 409 w motor. I'm friends with "Mac" and race with him on occasion.

Jim Sellers was also part owner of the NSCA prior to his death.

Thank you, I saw my aunt Barb at a party and we talked about Jim some and she said his car was called Old Reliable and I could not believe it. I always visited them growing up and never saw his car but he had a lot of engine parts. We move out in the mountains in Pennsylvania and I heard he p***ed away Iam sorry I never got to see again. Thank You again Dave.
