  1. Hello everybody.
What do you think about the repro bodies made by Jocar in Sweden ?
    Quality ? Finish ? etc...

    Thank you.

I googled them and it looks like they sell Brookville bodies/parts

  5. I saw a couple while in Denmark and spoke to a couple of builders...so...they think the bodies are great value although you'll have to really work the body to bring it up to a very high quality whereas with the brookville you have a better starting point. Their bottom line was if you're gonna build it lo buck, drive it and enjoy it, there's nothing wrong with the JoCar....IMHO, I thought they were really nice, but I'm not a 32 perfectionist....

Are they building bodies or reselling ReproSteel? They both use the same pic for the '32 roadster panel kit.

What is the ballpark $$$ of their 32 panel kit in U.S. dollars.

I always though it would be slick to build a 32 roadster for the street that is constructed more like a Bonneville roadster. With an inside the body roll cage type structure with all the body panels Zeus fastened or bolted to that tubing. And with the doors hung off that cage, not from the body. With the semi- cage structure it would be one stiff ch***is, and safer to drive on our 90 MPH freeways.

Probably not going to find a stocking dealer in the Midwest, right?

If they are a reseller, it'd be worth an email to ReproSteel to see if there is a U.S. distributor.

The prices listed on our homepage are all including 25 % Swedish VAT, so the actual price for a un***embled roadster with the current exchange rate would be a bit less than $4300, and that is including stock firewall but no floor. Shipping to closest terminal the US would land on around $5-600 but varies greatly depending on location of course. I have no idea about US taxes.

A ***embled body would cost about $7300, but you would need to contact me for proper shipping quotes in that case.

And we do not have any stocking US dealers at this point, that is correct.

That is in part correct, we sell their fenders and their cowl vent patch, the rest is stamped here in Sweden by us. And the original style firewall that they sell - that one we sold to them.

We have been cooperating with Reprosteel since the beginning of this project. However, since about 5 years ago we are running the business alone, Reprosteel do not make any parts any longer. The picture is obviously the same and is taken at our old shop, maybe it's time for an updated one.
