this 39 Nash was purchased by legendary car builder Joe Wilhelm in 1945 and was his first Custom. He owned this car up until the late 60s and it's been sitting ever since. Not much is known about the car but the front end treatment was done in the mid 50s which he emulated on the famous Jaguar royale for Andy Anderson. So far I've only been able to come up with one old photo from the 1940s. At this time he had just lowered it and had molded the fenders. I'm told that Joe's widow should have more photos of the car going back to the 1940s especially because they use this car on their honeymoon. But I have no idea how to get a hold of her. The car was confirmed to be Joe's by Bruce Glasscock. Bruce knew Joe pretty well and remembered the car. This is a radical Custom with a heavy chop, channeled, everything molded and shaved. Currently sits on some sort of Chevelle or Nova chassis and has a small block Chevy under the hood. I have no idea what the condition of the motor is but I assume that it does not run. The car is sold with the bill of sale only and is a major project. Yes the car has a lot of surface rust but it's not pitted badly or rusted out. Good solid metal! Make offer! Trades welcome also.
