Gentlemen (and Ladies if there are members),

My name is John and I'm delighted to have become part of your group. I thought I would share just a little of my background for everyone. I have been an ASE Certified Master Technician since 1976 as well as a Michigan Certified Master Mechanic since then. I'm much more adept at the older vehicles though, as I have difficulty understanding sensors to run relays to run solenoids that trigger sensors that cause relays to trip that allow solenoids to......well....you get the picture.

I’ve been involved in some form of racing my entire life including go-karts, motocross, snowmobiles, dragsters, asphalt late models, dirt late models, slot cars, bicycles, road bikes, and I’ve even raced a motorized barstool once. I’ve built racecars and race engines, been a crew member on several teams, and also have built several street rods and muscle cars over the years. I remember (unfortunately, this proves that I’m pretty damn old) racing and high performance back when Don Garlits had his first FRONT engine dragster, Swamp Rat I, saw the Daytona 500 fight live on TV, Hot Rod and Stock Car Magazines were first being published, Shirley “Cha Cha” Muldowney before she ran a top fuel dragster, guys like **** Landy, David Pearson, Glenn “Fireball” Roberts, Buck Baker, Bruce Mclaren, Jackie Stewart, a fairly (I don’t think he was EVER actually truly young) young **** Trickle, and Jungle Jim Lieberman were all racing.

I work for an international company based in Muskegon Michigan and we are the largest aftermarket supplier of brake tubing in the US with over 95% of the market. We also have many chemical and lubricant products as well, our oldest being called Door-Ease, which I'm sure some of you old guys like me will recognize. AGS Company (American Grease Stick Co.) has been in business since 1937 and that was our first product. I'm National Market Development Manager and I also work on new product ideas and programs and bring them to market after research.

At any rate, I'm honored to be a part of your group and hope that in some way I can interject help or advice to anyone that would need it.

Please don't hesitate to contact me via the blogsite and I'll respond as quickly as I can.

    Best regards,

    John Peirce
