Awesome Day with kick ass weather for once. Over 150 cars were forced to park outside due to the racecourse being full.
Plenty of cool cars, lots of art on display, models cars music, everything. Whodaky, thanks for the striped toolbox, its too good to put anything in it! Will be a cherished item for me for many many years.
Lowsquires RPU was there, looked ace driving through the main arena thingo. I'l post a couple here, the rest are slowly being uploaded to : John's Rod And Custom 50's Picnic

The gray Barris kustom '40 sedan...below the trunk it sez "licensed to carry /2 seat/ 7 adults". What's that mean or is it a joke?

  12. Cool pix!

HAH! thats me in the passenger seat of Lowsquire's RPU...Woot I'm famous and shit. Some neat cars.

The 32 Sedan has rare Heads on it as far as I was told...old accessory covers or something..anyhoo..some neat rides, not as many real interesting cars as I would have liked to have seen, and the day was a bit of a muddle, no one knew what was going on, but always fun anyway.

Missed the HAMB foto again, but met some cool Hambers so was all good.

    Cheers

that gold A is btichin and i dont get the bumper sticker on the 40 ford. But still some cool cars

  15. Those stickers are found in buses here....

No such thing as fake head covers....unless they were drawn on! They're accessory covers, that's all.

Thanks for postin' the pics Sean. I didn't get to see anything all day. 2000 plus cars (they ran out of tickets). Clearly the biggest/best event in Australia by a mile.

Spewin I missed it, The big block in the Buick taught the 9" a lesson or two Friday night and that was my weekend over [IMG]. Was planning to do a Saturday morning run down. Looks like it was a good weekend.

Yeah, those stickers are found inside buses. I cant see a Chopped 40 ford licenced to carry 42 adult passengers! [IMG]

  19. Just looked at the Australian Street Rodding article on that blue '32 Tudor, they are Thicksun covers, I'm sure they were made for marine use to keep water out of the spark plug pockets.

Thanks for sharing the pics Aushotrods, some cool cars, I'm going to try to get there next year [IMG]

    Hey Peddro,

Sorry I missed it - I was fighting the worst case of gastro all weekend... I nearly didnt make it to John's at all but I promised to shuttle some mates down in the wagon. I got there about 1:15pm so missed the meet. I spent most of the afternoon walking round like a Zombie before heading off at about 4pm.

Sorry again for the late payment on that DVD - my bad.

    Danny
