Projects Jonesin for anouther model a build

I've posted some pictures of my coupe i'm working on. So ive decided to start a thread of the build. I will start on when i got the car ( no pictures i can find yet) 8 years ago. I bought it from a guy named Sam that had it in his barn. There was a sport coupe setting out side his house ,is why we stoped to look at it. I ended up coming hoome with both of them a couple weeks later. Since then i have sold everything but the 5 window body. I really wanted to wait till i had the money to build the coupe the way i wanted it. Sometimes you just have to settle on good enuff. I have built my own frame, ordered all the suspension, rims and tires, and bolt on stuff for the motor. Here are some of the pictures ive taken along the way so far.

motor is a 1951 flathead with a t5 trans. interior plans are pearl white with diamond tuck. exterior color is ganna be a silver base with candy yellow....jones

my cousin (tin can) tore down the frame saturday to get ready to do the finish welding and clean it up for paint...jones

Im shootin to have the frame all welded up, ground down and all sanded by the end of the day Sat. maybe even try to get it in primer...

 

i have no plans for the weekend. maybe all painted and start****embly over thabksgiving weekend.

frame painted with silver base with lil darker shadeing, then a few coats of sundance yellow and then some gold pearl ...jones

 

We exceeded my goals this weekend. Hopin to get this thing a roller in the next couple of weeks again. She is gonna be a sweet ride when done!

the car is chopped 3 inches and channeled 4 inches

I took a peak under the car cover at it tonight. The colors look great togeather, and you have got some time in polishin all of that stainless hardware in that front end. Looks******in man!

 

lil more progress this weekend. i got the rear end in primer and the trunk peices welded up. thanls to my cousin for taking the time and cleaning the rear end up...jones

so not much on the car lately. had a 67 camaro to paint. i did take the oil pan off motor and saw a bad piston. so that is not good looking for another 51 flathead. hopefully will have the bottom and firewall in primer by the weekend. that is all.....jones
