Judges

The Moose lodge in Warner Robins is having a Car and Bike show on May 10th and would like to do it right.
We need some folks to judge the show. That know what they are doing. Prefer locals. All funds go to Charity.

Qualified judges are hard to find. Why not make it a particapent judged show? Something like a best of 10, or 20 (or insert a number here, don't get carried away, thropies cost money and take away from what can be given to the charity) and hand out as many trophies. Then all you need is a few people to count the ballets.
Keep it simple. Have the judging ballets at the registration booth. Let the participents pick up one ballet per registered car after registration closes. Then they vote for their favorite 10 cars/trucks/whatever. Turn in the ballets an hour after regestration ends the have a few helpers count the ballets. The top ten (or whatever number you choose) vote getters win trophies, all the same size. Elimeminates parking restrictions because there are no classes, and no one connected to the show are bad guys because the participents chose their favorites. The object it to get money for the charity, not to create problems. A 50/50 raffel is also a great source of extra money for the charity. Get a roll of double tickets, sell chances at $1 each or 7 tickets for $5. Buyer gets one ticket, the other 1/2 goes into the bucket. At trophy time, give away the trophies first, then draw out the "lucky" winner out of the bucket and fork over 1/2 the cash collected. The other 1/2 goes to the charity.
