Is a juki lu562 any good for upholstery. What do I check for when looking at one as far as being wore out.?? Thanks
I dunno but I ran a search using "juki" and got 31 GOOD hits. They have been discussed a ton. Also check out the S***cher social group, some pros in there.
Ya I see the jukis are good I just couldnt find anything on that model. It does have a walking foot.I will try the s***cher group.......THANKS
I took an upholstery cl*** at the local tech school this spring...we had several Juki machines that I'm pretty sure were the model you're asking about. They also had one Consew 206RB. I preferred sewing on the Consew over the Juki. It just seemed smoother. I ended up buying a used Consew 206RB-4 and really like it. I don't think there's a lot to "wear-out" on these machines that's not relatively inexpensive to replace. I suggest checking with a local shop that services commercial sewing machines-they can probably tell you what to look for. Just my .02 ...
The wife has been s***ching interiors for 25 years. She also teaches upholstery. She's used Pfaff, Singer, Adler (Durkopp), Consew...and she swears by Juki machines. It's probably like one of those "most beautiful car" questions...You'll get many different opinions. I can tell you this, one of her old Jukis sat underwater in a hurricane flood and didn't get cleaned out for a couple of years. It's still running.
Well I bought it.It seems real good.I cant feel any wear in anything.Widow said the old man bought it new and did trim work on the side. Now I have to figure out how to use this thing. Thanks
I've been using my Juki 562 for over 20 years great machine, just be sure to use the right oil and it will sew forever, if you need any info I have the instruction manual and the parts book................
Hey plywude would you be able to send me the manual and parts book in pdf form?Lady said she had manual but couldnt remember where it went. Whats the RIGHT oil? I dont want to wear it out.THANKS
