July Banger Thread

    You had:

    too much fuel pressure

    Float height wrong

    Two diferent float needles

    Did you ever look to see if the carb throats were wet at idle?

    Just a thought.

    30 MPH, no wobble or rattle. Wheel rolls by, I'm scraping. Thankfully, wheel didn't hit any person or oncoming traffic. Wheel, hubcap and all 5 lug nuts were in the road ahead of me. Time to safety wire and/or blue loctite.

    It is your Lucky day today.

    You will probably always have this problem when running '35 wires on later hubs and drums. In 1935 the drums had little support bosses to support the wheel center, Latter drums don't and the wheel center has nothing to tighten down against. You need a support ring on the drum.
