That is Dennis Piranio's engine that has Pat Gary's Head on it , the engine is blown and ran on Methanol, Dennis ran the car at Bonneville in the Model A coupe he built in his shop in Denton Texas, were he specialized in working on and selling Model A parts.
Yep that’s it Since Dennis passed his widow Beth has kept the parts business going She has some unique parts available J
Beth Piranio is having yard sale today and tomorrow for anyone in the Denton / DFW area. Should be some interesting parts from the shop available. She will continue to run the new parts business.
this is my car from 1960s 301 ci , dual wcfb , t-10 four speed . fast for the day . real "run what you brung"
I got a video of this car getting tuned, sounded pretty killer! Very much NOT like the 4 banger in my roadster 2019 I think
I was recently at Speedy Bill's museum again. By now they have opened up the new building for display. They now have about 240,000 square feet of floor space. I asked one of the volunteers there how many engines they have on display. She thought about 600 or 650. The place is overwhelming. No way can you take it all in in one day.
This is the current 'banger' project at work 1911 Overland. & Making a pointer for timing finding TDC etc is today's job
If you guys are wondering, here is what Outback's Overland engine might be going in. It's a 4 Banger, so I suppose this is relevant!!
Thanks @Dan from Oakland We are yet to see the body, but it's being built at the moment. It's quite possibly a stretch, but interesting all the same, I don't recall this thread being for solely T&A bangers. They are just the main meal!
Just what I wanted to find. I have a V8 gear set that I wanted to install in my B gearbox. Looks like I’ll have to locate another B trans or case.
I could help a brother out.. I would ditch that B shift tower too, get a dual detent.. and run later synchros if your holding all ‘32 parts
I hope someone who knows, gets this. Sure looks like a Rich Fox engine. @heyitsnate spotted it at the LARS.
He donated his engine with a Y block head on it to Speedy Bill's. But I did not see it there two weeks ago.
Rich Fox did build one, I think this came out of Cliff Williamson's stash. I put eyes on it a month ago, surprised it showed up so soon. J
Folks, What location do you ground the block on your Bangers? My 12v system grounds are currently Batt to Frame, Trans to Frame and frame to body. Do I even need one on the block. This is on a project car and working on wiring. Thanks
It must have sold cheap because it moved spots halfway through the day. Looked like it was missing a lot of internals
