I was thinking of you last Thursday on my way to Maple Grove as I drove up
Rt. 202. Man has that place changed since I was up there about 15 years ago! What used to be countryside is all paved!

This is the photo I took the last time I was at the Grove.

Pam, thanks for all you do (and have done) for the sport of drag racing and hot rodding. The sport is better because you were, and are, in it.

 

What a way to start my day. Ms. Pam. Welcome to the HAMB for one nice lady.

My mind just flooded back to about 72-74. I was young and you were well just a little older. Perfect. LOL.

Always had a thing for the older ladies even as a young lad. It was match racing days.

It was a late night in a 4 or 5 match race string Wis/Ill/Ohio/Indiana or some stupid 2,500 miles 5 tracks in 4 1/2 day deal. But I finally got to meet my hero and Jungle Pam at one of the races.

We were in the staging lanes waiting for clean ups and milling around. Awestruck by the man I finally got introduced and a handshake from Jungle and then was given a handshake and a hug by the woman....Jungle's woman...Jungle Pam. Jungle hisself was promptly relegated to 2nd tier status after that night.

Ms. Pam I think you ruined my life! For that, I cannot say thank you enough. LOL.

Pam .... I need to put on my thinking cap from our the times we spent Match Racing !!! .. A few of my favorites are the nite JJ showed up late at Capital Raceway and no one was going to run untill JJ got there.. And anything with Freddy DeName and his Chimp.

bob, i emailed the HHR people last year suggesting that they invite her. didn't hear anything back from them. i looked all around and under the "jungle jim" funny car, no pam, bummer.

And Meatball, this car ran a Crower 8 Hole injector and not the common Enderle Hat type. Hence why you can not see anything there.
