Wow... unbelievable! Maybe you ought to show some respect to Pam? But then, maybe I should not even waste my time/effort in replying to this idiotic post.....

I think he's trolling for flames. He obviously joined just to make this post. Might be a present member joining under a new name. 'Don't feed the troll'.

I am thrilled Pam is on here and we can ask her questions and shower her with admiration or come prancing out of the closet as the case may be.

I know that as a young teenage boy in the mid 70's i'd thought Pam was hot as the flames coming from the headers.

I've never met her, attending Bakersfield would be great.

Congratulations on stealing your screen name from one of the gayest singers of the '70's.

Yes I am posting under a different name, if I said this under my real one you would know why I am and we all know how you guys attack anyone who does not have the same opinion that you do.

First she looked good in the 70's, no arguement there but I just asked how many of you will like it if your daughters do what she did back than. I mean she must feel real special that the ony thing most of you talk about is her being half dressed or the size of her chest. as much as the girls today are for dressing like they do so where Miss Pam and Hurst's Linda V.

The truth hurts doesn't it. If your offended because I said your daughters should do the same than you should be offended with the comments about Pam.

  9. Before a bunch of folks rise up and post stuff, take the high road and just put this thread back on track.

Pam, I totally enjoy the pics and the little bit I know about your history (I was born in '67). If you have a chance, could you post what you enjoyed about being around the racing etc?

  10. Pam: It would be great to see you at some west coast events.....andwhen are you going to open a store on your Jungle Pam.com site???

  11. Not Offended at all,My ex was a Model and yes a Dancer and if my stepDaughter wanted to follow in the footsteps of someone like Pam,Linda Vaughn or anybody of thier style being a good parent I would back her play and encourge her wishes,as it turned out she became a Lawyer in New York, and Thats kool if thats what she wants as she knows I dont trust cops or lawyers,Bottom line at least they are who they say they are and dont hide behind something else, and that is why we consider them icons and respects who they really are........Long Live Jungle Pam Hardy!!!

Remember that opinions are like arseholes.

Yep, I got rid of some of the Drama Posts, and Replies to Drama Posts.

Yours wasn't so bad, but without the other crap around it, it made no sense.

And BTW, if you are here for the Drama, you are on the wrong Site...

I have been reading this site for quite some time and felt compelled to join due to some recent posts. I grew up on drag racers and still remember the first time I saw a funny car at Atco Dragway in NJ. I was instantly addicted. Back when match racin and funny car meets etc., would draw thousands. Anyway back to my point, Jungle Pam is just about as sweet a lady you could meet. Not a hint of snobiness, and as far as I am concerned, she lived the dream. For those of you not familiar with her story, find the article " Good Night, Celestial One" Hot Rod Jan 2000. An extremely well written article by Ro McGonegal. Pam, and her husband Bill are just plain genuine, a pleasure to talk to. I just find it somewhat irritating for people that don't know her, never met her, or just too "blue nosed" to realize just what she did for the sport we all ove so much. The 70's was a wild time for those of us that lived it, and boy did we live it. As a FNG, I hope I am not off base or have not yet earned the right to post. If so, let me know my place. I do however enjoy reading the posts on here, and am content to just do that, but felt like I had to speak.

looks to me like you, metalshapes, are the dramatic one! I felt what SSNovaJoe said was not in least dramatic, just sharing his thoughts, and was certainly on topic. He was only offering his personal experience and his respect for Pam. So what if he is new, give him a chance.

Oh yeah, no pictures on my post, but you aren't always posting pics either, metalshapes!

so please back off and let us Pam lurkers enjoy, even if we have no pics to offer.

  24. Well said.

    Yeah, no pictures either.

After 81 pages only one guy has mentioned the most important thing about this lady. Yeah she was, and still is, a fantastic woman. But how many of you have ever had your head under the body of a running FC AFTER the switch? How many have dug in on the rebuild while it's still hot? How many have lived the circus? She might have started out as eye candy, but unlike today, if those guys weren't traveling and match racing every week they didn't eat. It was 98% work and 2% show. And what a show!

You cant see the multiple Posts that are already Deleted off this Thread, so you are probably wondering what I'm talking about.

So eventhough knowing why a Thread is about to dissapear might be usefull Information to some, it is also Drama in itself.

    And unnecesary.

You are absolutely right about that...

I agree with trashing the drama posts, but I think this stopped being strictly a picture thread when Pam joined us. For those of you who don't find Pam attractive, keep it to yourselves. The lady was nice enough to join us & share some of her knowledge of the golden days of funny cars. We should be appreciative & respectful. Oh, and just for the record, I still think she's attractive.
