Wow, those cars are in nice shape. I found Turners Wrecking Fresno, Ca. on Google Earth, is that the place?




That is a huge wrecking yard!..or atleast huge compared to what I've seen around here. The Google Earth images are actually pretty hi-res, and zooms in well. Looks to be a good amount of older vehicles there. Sure wish I could go.

 

That's it. The place is enormous, at least 100 acres.

Not much left like that around here, the NIMBY folks have seen to that, although there are a few left if you look hard enough (like the DeSoto in my avatar from a private yard).

 

Were you the guy that bought the little white chevy coupe in the pics above? They had that car pulled out to the front about 2 weeks ago becuase they had sold it to some one. I bought my 46 chevy cab and doors from them about 2 months ago and recently some doors for my 58 Brookwood wagon. If anybody wants something from Turners don't delay as he's been looking to retire (he's in his 80's) and after his son p***ed in a racing accident Jerry has been crushing cars to clean up the property. Last I talked to Jerry he crushed over 8,000 cars over the past couple months.
