I love talking about cars, and stuff. so when I had a yard sale a couple weeks back there was a few leftovers. I rolled a few things out front and put a free sign on them. an older gentleman drove up nice and quietly and thought he could use a few things so I said "your welcome to anything you'd like".. thank you he says, I see you have a few old cars around. Yup, love em. "ok" he says. I have a jaguar I bought in the late 70's.
Yuck!!. I said to myself. Lol
hmmm.. I thought for a bit and realized he didn't say it was new when he bought it. again!, hmmm??. well I said ide like to come see some day if that was ok. sure he says.
so one day I wander over and boy was he excited!! he started talking about all his old farm equipment and implements dating back to the early 1900s and giving me the tour of a lifetime. boy! it was great. I started getting a bit anxious and asked about the jaguar. he shrugs it off and says oh that's somewhere over there. well get to that eventually. Lol. well before we did I was amazed of the 60 70 year collection of antiques and collectables he acquired over the years, "so cool"
eventually we get to the spot and this is what I have discovered, enjoy.

along with many other interesting items and tools
    Thanks, Ed

Well, You're not in New England, the Jag is an early XKE, sure would look good in anyone's garage along with the RPU and '40 Coupe. Bob

Every one of those are good cars to have. First time I have heard of a Goliath so I had to google it.
I still do not get the logic of covering up the license plates. If you drive a car on the road everyone sees it anyway so why bother covering the plates?

True, but someone might trace that plate and try to work a deal on the cars Ed found, that is my guess. Bob

Wow, three big ticket finds in one, along with the other stuff! You need to keep channels open with this old gentleman.

What the heck is a Golaith? Gary

Never mind. Given their super small engine sizes, they should have been called "Davids" however.

Very interesting to look at, but I have a tough time "enjoying" seeing cars like that stored in that manner.

  15. I saw a Goliath in an old wrecking yard last summer in SD. I thought it was misnamed as well.

That 40 coupe delux would be nice.

Cool! Man, that 40 is NICE! I'd be on that like ....you know what! I've always waned to hot rod one of those Borgwards. Had a '57 Borgward Lloyd Alexander for about 10 years and did nothing with it. Prolly be the same with a Goliath. lloydontrailer.jpg

Looked to be an old Oliver Tractor in one of the shots, out of the 30's maybe, I grew up on Olivers but a little later models:)

Probably deleted due to the rules that foreign cars and sports cars are OT. Goliath may be next...

Goliaths were exported by Borgward-Lloyd-Goliath of Bremen, Germany to the U.S. and sold new in California, Yep OT but this one sis a lot better condition. It looks to be a scaled down Nash.
Lots of other good picking, Dodge limo, belly tank, Ford coupe etc.

Which always made me wonder why it is that Anglia's don't get deleted.

I think because Anglias and Fiat Topolinos are legitimate DITD drag race bodies.
