Technical Just a question for the masses. How to remove an oil fill tube

    I've also heard of using this method to free up a seized distributor that's stuck in the block. Not tried it myself but it sounds plausible and might keep you from busting up the distributor housing with a hammer or slide-bar puller.

    Drill a hole cross-wise through the top of the tube. Hook your slide hammer onto the bolt and tap it out. The cap covers the top of the tube anyway so a hole through the top doesn't affect anything, except it might drool a bit if you're not careful adding oil.

    ^^^^^ My luck would be like the screw driver thru the oil filter trick. Filter all torn up and still refuses to move.

  6. I thought of another one, but it involves taking the intake off. A tapered wooden dowel inside the tube, from the underside (but the taper would have to grab the tube above the intake).
