Just a Thought.. EFI on a Flathead???

    I would say that's a logical concern, BUT if you take the ECU out of the equation, you've got a throttle body and a bunch of sensors, that, if you're hand was forced, should be able to be made to work with just about any other ECU. Now, it won't be plug and play, but it would allow one to upgrade an older system. The ECU just sees voltage from the various sensors, compiles that information, and translates it into a fuel map based on those inputs. So theoretically, you could take a throttle body and sensors from Company A and wire it to Company B's ECU and make it work just fine.

    Carb technology really is not that bad. What makes it bad is that modern fuels are not designed to function at atmospheric pressure like you find in carb float bowls.
