Reading that HRM article, I was suprised to read that he owned (The Double Nickle) one that Thelen (BMC) had built by the likes of Steve Davis, Eastwood, Birdman and others and was owned by Bob Morris in Santa Barbara. I know that Bob Evrett's had it in Az, Then it was sold to Tim Allen who drove it on Morty's run, then it was sold to Bruce Meyers who has it now. This 3rd one is also a very kool kar!!!!!!!!
Yep--- The Morris car was the gold standard for me. I about wore out the R&C issue it appeared in. It's the car that made me choose nickel plating over chrome for my roadster.
