I Have been a member on here for a while, but have kept pretty quiet... thought I better change that!
I am a 28yo from Perth Western Australia, heavy diesel mining mechanic by trade.
I have a huge passion for post war pre 55 cars.. and have started a fairly decent collection so far.

Currently weekend Drive a 1951 Cadillac Coupe Deville, matching number fully optioned factory correct car.
Everything is as it would have been. still a 6 volt car, even has the original oil bath air cleaner.
No plans for it other than enjoy it. I cant bring myself to change anything its just too original.

In the build is my 1947 Buick Super Sedanette. Getting built as a clean traditional 'styled' custom.
Running a 263 Straight 8 with t700 auto, It has a custom rear notch, with triangulated 4 link and a 9 inch diff. Bagged all round. Car lays frame front to back.
A fair amount of mild body modifications, mainly shaving and smoothing.

And just picked up a 1953 Lincoln Capri coupe.
Needs a fair amount of work, but nothing too difficult.
Planned to also be a mild custom, ill be keeping the original drive line and running gear.
Going to smooth out by deleting a bit of the chrome.
Aiming towards a semi daily driver/ weekend car..

And even though I live in a Right Hand drive country... Its all staying LHD!

Hi & WOW. You have some good ones there. The Cadillac is totally awesome and likely so will the Buick & Lincoln be when done. Do a build thread with photo's on them on the Hokey Ass Message Board general discussion board & keep us posted. Jimmie

    Thanks Guys,
Going to make a start un-packing the Lincoln when I get back from work this week as its only just arrived.
I work long rosters away so progress is always slow, but I will defiantly make a build thread on both cars shortly!

  6. Did you get the Lincoln from Brisbane? There were two in the street not far from me for a long time.
