Thanks guys! I appreciate all the compliments. Allot of my ideas in one form or another came from here and what I have seen on the net. I have close to 300 miles on it now, still sorting a few bugs out but nothing big.
Its only new once so I have been a little more careful with it but it wont be long and it will be stretching its legs.
The motor is 10 to 1 with a mild hydraulic cam, I figured with a cam that pulled good vacuum would make for a easier tune on the 4 strombergs, which seams to be holding true.

Dang, I don't know what is more impressive, that you built one beautiful Model A coupe or that you did it starting with that body that a lot of others might have passed on.

Thanks, funny thing is I used it because I destroyed the model A rear window chopping it up for a custom chromed window frame. So after struggling to find another model a window I ran across the 37 ford pickup window and actually like the lower body lines better than the stock A. It matches the side windows perfectly. Funny how things sometimes work out

Very Cool - ya done good - going through the great build pics watching the build was quicker than watching the guys on TV build a car in 1 hour

I also saw it at Kazoo, to call this car “just another black Model A “ could qualify as the understatement of the year. Perfectly executed from vision to completion IMHO.
    Has “the look” for sure.

  27. Wow!I love all the out of the box things on this car, right down to the thought put into the exhaust tips.Am I right that you flattened the firewall also?
    Congrats on doing things differently.

rsss396.....you mentioned the steering box is Mopar. Do you mind sharing what models and years of Mopars are potential donors?

I'm impressed that the build was done in a home garage, not some 2500 Sq. Ft. shop. My guess is that you're either the: 1) hero of the neighborhood or 2) the scourge of it. ;)

Thanks and good eye, most guys don't catch that I took the kick out of the firewall, the fire wall was also pie cut on the 2 out sides to spread it wider to drop over the edge of the frame to work with the 1" channel.
I cut the exhaust tips for a couple of reasons first it allows better view of the quick change and second it makes the 2.5 exhaust look smaller which would have been more the norm in the 50's
