So, I went out to the brand new semi giant swap meet this morning at the AZ State fairgrounds... Damn, we have needed that for a loooong time!!! In the midst of hanging out with friends (Nice to walk with ya Banger Troy) and plotting to spend money I really don't have or need to, plus the obligatory "kissing hands and shaking babies" that one does at such an event when in the trade, I ran into Hot Rod Ron and asked if he could give me a hand this afternoon moving some stuff around at the shire.... After a delicious and nutricious lunch at Pete's fish and chips on South Central, (only the best for my friends!!!), Moving stuff commenced. The aim was simple, The incredible miss Judy's Falcon wagon needed to go out, turn around, and Grant's '29 (Endlessearth's) needed to be dissentombed and set free on the world. Oh, then wagon back in backwards for rear suspension droppage. So with moving done, multiple rides around the block commensed in Grants car, with the final results being a photo op with Hot Rod Ron's deuce and Endlessearth's car out front of my circa 1910 bungalow... And the nearly permanently pissed off Plymouth cruiser hanging out in the background waiting for it's ride to ElPolacko's next week for some healing frame tweekage... I humbly present the scene at Hot Rod Central Louver Co. on a nice winter day in Phoenix, AZ. Damn it's hard shoveling all this sunshine! Didn't realize I snuck the Maverick and Falcon flock in there too! Just click on the pictures.
Honestly, just a set of chrome acorn lug nuts for Grants car... Been perpetually broke lately! But the cool thing was seeing stuff I did want for a change!
I sure do appreciate all the props for my A roadster and all the credit goes to Chip for turning it from a car that looked good but had major drivability issues to a car that is a pleasure to drive anywhere. Amazing to think that we started on it summer 2010 but so much has been done to it since then. Once it is all complete I will post a thread on the work. If the original chopped 32 grill shell (which unfortunately was hit and badly repaired at some time in the far past) and a couple other last little things it needs to be complete come together this week I plan to cruise the car shows during the upcoming car auctions week here in Phoenix. If you see me, let's take a ride. I keep extra goggles in the glove box. - Grant
