  1. i pushed this outside to put the body back on for the last time , and i thought i'd snap a couple pic's

very basic , original frame boxed in , pete and jakes crossmembers and center x-member , TCI 4-bars(not my choice).....no chrome. the body will be primer . the guy just wants a driver. in fact , he chewed me out for using chrome ****onheads to hold the spreader bars in!

i'll snap some pictures with the body on later and post them

  2. i almost mispelled deuce

Great looking work.... I think this stage of a hot rod's life is the most insteresting... You can just see ALL of the hard work.

Really interesting that the guy wanted a 4-bar front end, but is still willing to run bias tires...

My car drives great with torsion bars, coil overs and bias tires.

    And it looks even better.

You guys don't want him running radials do you?

  9. thanks for the kind words .like i said , not my choice on the 4-bars..or the coil overs. it's basically stuff he had left over from other projects and pieces he got at swap meets. it's going together now and time will tell how well things work. his plan is fenderless right now , and to add fenders later( fender holes in the frame are still there)...so the 4-bars will eventually be kinda hidden

he really doesn't want it too nice , which is a concept hard for me to work with

here is a picture of the body on the ch***is..this is the way it's gonna be

    Nice work as always Greg.

Hey ... why don't you ride down to Austin in a hot rod with me and dad ... wouldn't that be more fun than riding in a truck with the other guys pulling a car hauler?!?! ;) Better think about it ... it'll be fun.

... yep, nice 3-window - I can't imagine you being able to settle with the instructions "not too nice". Looks cool.

    :)

I like it.........and I like the fact that he got it " His way "
His car, his money and his vision......

Just because it may NOT be completely traditional .......( in some HAMBers eyes ) ..... it still can be a neat ride......and let's not forget that 4 bars where around in the 50's ......just not real common ( sort of like Ardun heads and Kinmont brakes )
