Just stepping in to introduce myself. Well I'm not the oldest here but starting to get there. I've been away from hot/rat rods for some time. I am back and starting to find parts for my project a 48 to 54 Chevy/GMC pickup on an S10 frame.

Past rides have been a 46 Pontiac, 49 Ford shoebox, and a 53 Ford pickup with a bored Merc flathead.

Glad I found this site lots of good info here.

Mike29Tudor, Yes I do wish I had both of those flatties back along with alot of the other cars and truck that I've had. Anorther one was a 52 Chevy coupe that I put a Pontiac v8, 400 turbo, and 57 Pontiac rear with 4.56 gears, but can't look back to long got to go forward.

ProtoTypeDesignFlauz, Thanks for the link. I have read Clarks tech writeup also, looks pretty straight forward. I been working and fabbing parts for over 40 years now so if I can make the parts the better. That's what I enjoy about this this site a lot creativity. The S10 frame is coming from my old shop truck that I put a v8 in and lowered 15 years ago. The body is starting to get to the point of needing a lot of rot work. That started me thinking about doing this with it and then I found this great site. Now it is just a matter of time to find the truck for the body.
