As I now recall they moved the old good year sign when the widened the freeway (Black Canyon) to what it is now...

 

Looks like the old Good year sign. This was a Goodyear store about 20 years ago.

Yep, man I need to figure out how I was doing the street images before.

 

I didn't want to go through the hassle of a "print screen". There has to be an easier way to capture images from Google maps.

Am pretty sure this was the first national event I ever attended and do remember it pretty well.



There is also a video of the '74 AHRA Winters too.

 

Coulda swore that one was posted already but maybe not. Did a quick sweep and just see another from 1970 in post #256. The '74 video might be in post #343.

Speaking of S&E, I was trying to see if Steinegger's shop in this pic was still standing but seems not? Pretty sure Paul Henderson told me 109 East Buchanan Street. My pen wasn't working well when I wrote it down but pretty sure I got it right.
