    When do the Rolling Bones start to make their trip to Bonneville? Alway have enjoyed following their trek across the country.

    From Marty Bachand about 5 days ago;
    Photo for attention: It's getting late, 17 more sleeps. We've had a few requests for an itinerary for the trip west to Bonneville. Keiths #560 race car trailer should be stocked with what's available, T's, hats, stickers, toppers if available and books. Please remember that this is a fun trip, no tight schedule. Old equipment, weather, construction all play into what time we arrive. Leaving the barn day 1, Saturday July 27th near 5:30am. A stop at a local Stewarts for gas, coffee and see ya laters. Lunch about noon at the "OLD" Quaker Steak & Lube location. (trailer friendly) exit 24 Erie PA. lodging exit 59 Maumee OH Red Roof Inn. Day 2, Lunch at Cracker Barrel exit 127 on I80 just past Joliet IL. Lodging exit 142 Altoona IA Motel 6. Day 3, lunch at the Saum's in Marquette NE and dinner at Ole's Big Game Steak house in Paxton NE and lodging Paxton Days Inn. Day 4, Lunch at Lincoln Rest Area and lodging in Rock Springs WY at Clarion Hotel. Day 5, Lunch with friends in UT and lodging at Tru Hotel SLC. Day 6 late breakfast with friends and arive at exit 4, Bonneville.
    So come on out and say "Hi", buy a book or T shirt, hang out in a motel parking lot, bring your hot rod and head down the road for a tank of gas or 2, bring your mini van, your wives and kids but you can't leave them.
    As always we prepare and hope for good conditions at the Salt, but the miles and people along the way are a big part of the journey. Stay safe, be kind. This is latest that I found on their Fbook page, you could contact them directly if you need more specifics.
