I was looking for engines on dyno's and found this...OUCH...it made me hurt inside! http://www.bing.com/videos/watch/vi...f645-612992288052?q=videos of engines on dyno
Talk about watching an idiot in action...I think this takes the cake! lol http://www.bing.com/videos/watch/video/engine-blow-at-dyno/afa77c248260e985bfb2afa77c248260e985bfb2-426843308424?q=videos%20of%20engines%20on%20dyno
shakes head in amazement....I didn't think anyone could be this ignorant...gas can right near the engine they intend to blow up...mounted on an engine hoist...DUHHHH http://www.bing.com/videos/watch/video/blowing-up-engine/0f2e6b44172fd9f466c00f2e6b44172fd9f466c0-464588701963?q=videos%20of%20engines%20blowing%20up%20on%20dyno
An engine hoist? , looks like it was setting on cider blocks to me...I was wondering how they got it to set still long enough to blow it all to shit...I guess it was some of those "fart smellers..I mean smart fellers..."
what a waste! ran 5+ minutes with no oil or water, imagine how many miles that would have gone with proper care.
So what was that liquid that was running out of the engine after it blew apart? Edit: The links above go to three different motor blows, that's why none of the comments above seem to match what you might have seen. the diesel on the dyno is just plain nasty, the idiots running the motor hanging from the hoist need to be bitch-slapped.
How to prove on film you are in equal parts: #1. Destructive. #2. Disorganized. #3. Lazy. #4. Unfamiliar with proper terminology/English language. #5. Incapable of operating filming equipment/no attention span. Ohh....and #6. A scary bitch, because by the time that thing was smoking good, camera guy was practically a quarter mile away! ( yeah...o.k., I'd back off too...) Stupid.....
Well I'm confused. I watched a diesel explode, but didn't see any cinder blocks or hoists. It had a real engine frame under it, and was full of fluids from what I saw.????
Me, too. That's the one I saw but damn, that thing was making a lot of noise a long time before it broke.
Yeah, they had plenty of warning to shut it down, but seemed to ignore the noise. Wonder if they were intentionally trying to blow that engine?
I kept waiting for the ring gear on that SBC to contact the leg of the hoist and send it through the garage door. Didn't seem like it was running too bad, why not sell it for a few bucks instead?
OOH !........."IT'S CRYIN' TIMMME, AGAIN,........I'M GONNA' LEAVE YOU !! __________________________________ "Go FAST !......Go FASTER!!, Daddy..... Smoked-up in tha GREAT Smokey Mts.
I watched a guy in a "Best Engine" contest take his Blown 383 in a Model A, rev it up and wouldnt let off cause the crowd was cheering, rev'ed it so high his CAST IRON balancer split in two and luckily hit both sides of the A frame or he coulda killed someone, car jumped up as the bottom of the engine did exactly like this video...dumbass got a $20 trophy for his $10,000 blown-up engine!!!
these people have WAYYY too much time on their hands if you ask me...sheeesh and yeah, why would someone run an engine like that chevy to death instead of selling it....makes no sense to me...course I'm not one to destroy an engine in my idle time just because I have nothing better to do.
Watch the flywheel let go on this Boss 429. <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/vq5cjNhN_po" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
