Technical Just dropped my first axle, Stoked with the outcome!!

    will post a couple more pics of the jig when im up at the shed next. The jig is pretty much the same as Titus etc here on the HAMB use, I bolted on an early Ford stub axle to the back board of the jig to keep all the angles etc the same, then made an adjustable guide at the other end to keep the axle traveling down square, I have a stop block at either end as well to keep the axle stopping at the same depth at either end keeping all angles the same as the original axle. Checked the kingpin angles after dropping and everything has remained the same.

  5. Haha, yea im pretty computer illiterate, Id posted the pics before I realised it. I need to get the wife to skill me up on the use of this damn thing!

    looks good. I don't really understand why we can drop an axle and yet not bend a steering arm.,but then the Ford axles are REAL strong tho

    nice job, i think you mean propane, liquid propane gas, and yes it is cheaper and is easily available. i would like to see a step by step dropping one. very impressive.

    Very cool, that's what I call hot rodding! Another vote for seeing more on the jig and the process!
