bruce yu are correct the generator is wrong i just havent gotten around to digging a correct one out....as far as cyclinder heads go thy used a single outlet on the 40s....the dist caps are the correct color but the coil is not....its proved to be more trouble to get a coil in the correct color....no one is making them repo so itstough to find a brown original....yeah theoil pressure seder is in the wrong place...i have to change a bunc of stuff....but all i did was unload it off the truck...havent gotten around to wrenching yet
I changed over to 12 volts on my 40. If you are in need of a generator or coil or whatever.. give me a PM.
The generator without ground post is rather rare...I suspect rebuilders added the post for reliability.
no i knew it was wrong when i bought the car and it was something that slipped my mind when i took it to the machine shop....i think i have a correct one but im not sure yet
