Howdy howdy howdy. I've been reading the HAMB forums for a long time for technical/parts advice, but until now I never had a proper hotrod (usually wrenched on 60's 70's 4 doors) so I never made an account. Well, my grandparents moved into an****isted living home last week and left me with a 1940 Ford DeLuxe V8 Fordor so here I am!: The stock engine was replaced with a 1965 283 Chevy (somewhat not stock, has at least new valve covers, intake manifold, and a quadrajet, all hooked up to powerglide) sometime in the 70's-80's, and the suspension I am told is from a Mustang II. Unfortunately I have no build sheet and my Grandpa's mind and vision is going, so I learn new things about it every day Will probably spend most of my time on the technical side of the forum, trying to get it on the road soon so I can make it to one of the end of season car shows this year if I can. It seems so far it needs mostly fit and finish work, but I think we all know how much of a nightmare picking up someone else's project car can be . Lets say I'm cautiously optimistic. If you'd like to follow my exploits/mishaps, I keep a facebook page for all my projects (I also work on motorcycles and a few other oddball things): www.facebook.com/calsgaragetv/ Looking forward to talking to you folks!
