Great site, had to join. I have built many cars over the years and I'll be looking here for some help on my new project a 1959 f100 shortbed.

p.s. The word "rat" is considered a 4-letter word around here.

Thanks, as far as the 59 I want to lower it and do a dropped straight axel on the ft. instead of mustang II, however I have some questions as far as tie rods and ect. also is there a disc brake kit for that axel? I am thinking a FE motor maybe a 428 of I might go with a 460. I will go with steel wheels wide white walls.

    P.S. Sorry about the " RAT ":D

  4. ELpolacko can answer any and all steering/suspension questions you may ever have. With expert accuracy. He can even drop your axle. He's here on the HAMB.
Also, if you're not completely comitted to a straight axle, he makes a crossmember that welds in place and uses standard Dodge Dakota suspension, disc brakes, and rack & pinion steering. Real truck parts-not the lame MII/pinto ****. Lowers the front about 3 inches and makes the truck a pleasure to drive. I'm lovin' mine!
