  1. Hey y'all... just joined up, and I've already got some questions!

So the old stock transmission on my 235 inline 6 is busted. I want to upgrade to a muncie 4 speed or something similar. Anyone out there made this swap? What do I need to know? Am I going to notice a big difference in performance? Basically I want to be able to DRIVE this car. With the old stock setup I'm really only able to do 55 mph. I want to be able to cruise on the highway.

    Thanks!

Welcome, I'm a newbie also, but have been playing with 235's for a while. Just balanced up a 1954 pressure oiler for my 53 210. Go to www.inliners.org/ and search through their website. There is information at this site about switching to a s-10 4 or 5 speed and also some of the camaro trannys. good luck rangeman
