Hi Guys, I'm a new guy. I have a 54 Mainline g***er. I just bought a 55 Customline. Both are 2 dr. sedans. A while back, I had another 55 Customline 2 dr. with a 65' 390 and a top loader in it. I sold it and bought a 51 Henry J. Cute car, but nothing compared to that 55. For years I have missed that car. Well, I was looking on ebay last week and a notice popped up, Ending Soon. It was the 55 Customline. The owner was restoring the car and his heath was an issue. The car was loaded with new and excellent used parts. I made a bid at 15 seconds to go and won. The car is original 272 with a 3 speed. No one has cut it up yet. It is good to know there are others out there who love these cars. Hope I can learn and help others learn about these models. They are the best years. Love those Y-blocks. Charles

Hi and welcome to the group. Pretty cool ride u got there. Love those old y blocks. I saw your thread about using a t-5. I was going to go with that combo myself, but i had a straight 6:(. I searched 4ever to get a y-block, so i just said 4get it and went the 302 with t5 route. In fact i bought a t-5 adapter from Mummerts a while back in hopes of using it. Its still new and in the box with all the hardware and instruction. If your interested ill sell it 2 you a bit cheaper than what they go for. Pm me if you want the pics.

anywho, good luck on ur project
    more pics the better!:)
