I guess I've don't have a reason to do things differently than I have in years, the latest and greatest always brings a new risk.

Nah, I still use compressor oil and sewing machine oil. Lucas red & tacky on my cam lobes.

I’ve used Goodson for a long time and there products have never let me down. However I have never used the assembly lube. Put countless engines together with STP with no issues. And switched to a red and sticky lube that my parts supplier put in the engine kits. No problems there. And not the red and tacky grease that Loyd’s paint&glass spoke of but that’s an interesting concept. Maybe better than liquid nails for seam sealer.

I also use my seam sealer to glue wood together :D:p

  8. That Goodson stuff seemed a little expensive for assembly lube,,,,36 bucks !

Good old STP won’t run off either,,,it’s all you can do to wash it off your hands .

Lubriplate 105 works fine. Under $10 and there's enough to build several engines!
