    That was a Saturday afternoon at Irwindale drag strip. We were playing with tuning an experimental cam from Isky. The large steel wheels and tires were an attempt to get more roll out on the lights. Really made no difference so the Halibrand's went back on. (Thank God) The '57 was really no race. Once the green light lit I never saw him again.

    I like the mixed wheels which seemed to happen a lot in the early to mid 60s including the half white and half black...the year was? I know your very particular about uniform and tidy so I get where your coming from...

    If I was your kid, boy would I be in trouble...:D...But there's nothing at all wrong with Tidy...I certainly admire those like yourself that run Clean Well Built Machines.

    Nice belly pan, but the louvers are facing the wrong way. Louvers on a belly pan are to let trapped air out, not scoop more in.

    The Ala Kart inspired me to louver the aprons on my first RPU. Mine all faced to the rear because the mufflers were behind the aprons, and the louvers helped the heat to escape. And, judging by the dust trails that were on the louvers after running at El Mirage, they let out some of the air trapped under the car at speed.
