The second Ford Sedan Delivery built by San Diego Prowlers member, Lee Bright was one of the best built hot rods that had, what everyone at the time, desired in any build. The whole thing qualified for a business tax write off as the name of his muffler shop was amply named, Lee Bright’s Muffler Shop. Since it was not a removable sign, it met the tax law requirement.

After taking photos of what we thought was the best example of a chopped Model A Sedan Delivery for another magazine photo spread, Lee built this version with a few more intricate additions. The most unusual was underneath the rear compartment. These extra details made this Yellow bullet, cool as cool can get in hot rods.

It was cool looking from the front and definitely cool from the rear... "Who does not like a nice rear end?"

Channeled Model A and didn't like the looks of the Model A frame sticking
out of the firewall so formed an aluminum cover and had Eric Sanders (RIP)
punch some small louvers in it and ran a bead role on top

...an inwork detail shot of a filler panel on Hamber @mike bowling's Custom 40 Coupe...nice...I'll see if I can dig up his Thread on it...He said this was a tribute to one of his first set of wheels a long time ago. I suspect he is done with it by now but we shall see...



...yup looks near the finish line...he was working on a unique hood...hence the hoodless nod to Hotrod look it's wearing above...

Great custom 40 ^^^. But had to laugh when noticed bright red fireplug windshield. Backing the car up 10 feet & slightly different angle would have made a better picture

 

I'll see what I can do...

 

...Seasonal...I'd say best to pull over and grab a bite for a bit...

How ya doin Buddy! We managed to keep our hats on.

 

Julian California, In the mountain’s above San Diego. I’ve eaten many meals in that restaurant in the background. They have a real “old fashioned” soda fountain and a dinner type setting. Great place!! They also have an underground “mine” in the back filled with every kind of candy you can think of.

 

Had the press out today, got all punchy...... again

Anyone know how many louvers you can squeeze out on a 53-56 F100 hood? I have looked through all these pics, but most don't show a top view where I can count.
