There is a NC Social here on the HAMB, you might want to check that out to find a few locals. My daughter just moved to Charlotte, I've been itching for an excuse to take a ride there to check out her new quarters. Welcome to the HAMB and NC
I'm right here in Raleigh, my shop is 4 doors down from the Harley dealer, stop by and chat. http://www.rod-o-rama.com/
I lived in that general area for 18 years (Reidsville), and loved it. Lots of car guys there and in Virginia, and there was always something, car related, going on. I don't know how it is now, but there used to be plenty of old cars and "vintage tin national parks" to keep things interesting too. When you get the time, just cruise around some of the rural areas in NC and Southern VA, and you will see for yourself. Anyhow, I hope you enjoy your new home...wish I'd never left.
Your probably north of Mayberry. head down there and ask for Andy. I hear he has a cherry 60 Ford......just kidding. Good luck in your new home
WELCOME to NC and the HAMB. We are in Rocky Mount about 35 miles east, please stop over anytime and see the shop. Kevin RodDoors
I was just down in Greensboro for the race in Martinsville. On the way back to the hotel on sunday we were routed toward Danville VA on 58 East (I think thats right). I spied a 66-67 GTO under a lean to and piled high with junk. All you could see was the hood scoop and the grille area. This thing is maybe 30-40ft off the road. Saw a really nice looking 49 ford f-1 pickup on 220n for sale. saw lots of other unidentified iron too. We looked at moving down there about 12yrs ago. Every time I go to visit I wish we would have.
nice to meet *sort of* everyone! and thanks for the kind words. look what i found as i was hiking around lake crabtree! what is it from? haha -adam
