Dont have a ton of great pics, but got a pretty complete '30 A coupe body (in chunks..lol),a decent frame, complete set of subrails, and a front axle. Was in a hurry, but only snapped a pic of a couple pieces as I unloaded them at my storage locker til I finish my o/t '66 street/strip car. Who's got suggestions for good quality patch panels and replacement sheetmetal? In the end,I'm shooting for something like this: (Obviously, its gonna be a pretty hard chop.)
Well, dangerous is kinda the plan!Stroked 354 Hemi with a 6-71,B&M ClutchFlite trans,Winters Q/C rear, about a foot and change worth of engine setback, and a gutted, aluminum panelled interior were what I had in mind.....How's that shit for dangerous...? I already have some hemi parts, the blower, the trans is on the way,so is the Q/C,but I need to get the body sorted out first...Any recommendations on sheetmetal sources?I keep hearing MAC's is good.
Having put a hell of a lot of miles on a chopped rig I'd go for a bit less chop if you actually plan on seriously driving it rather than sitting and looking at it. While it looks cool as all hell my bet is that it would never get driven any distance after the first road trip.
It wouldn't be so bad if you could see traffic lights out of them, but even a mild 2-1/2" chop is bad because of the damn visor.Thats why I plan to punch the visor and run with no top insert. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
That way I can look out the top of the car at traffic lights.... Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
