I should run out and get you a photo of a panel here in town that is slammed, done in satin, fenders are a deep red/burgundy and the top is black with some graphics on it. TomCat told me it was a longer than normal panel.

  6. I like it, and you can't beat the price. Looks very buildable. I think any old truck or panel looks better lettered for some business (real or fic***ious) with an old timey phone number. My truck is lettered as a shop truck for Drake Motor Co., the local Ford dealer from ancient times until 1956, phone 13. That really was their phone number back then. We were living in Baltimore in '92 when I lettered the truck. I was talking with my father on the phone one Saturday morning and told him that I sure do wish I could find out what the phone number was for Drake Motor Co. back in the '30s and '40s. Daddy said, "I'll find out for you. Miss Margaret Johnson was the phone operator back then. She's in the nursing home but her mind is still good (she just recently died at 101). I guarantee you she'll know." He went to see her and asked her if she remembered the number for Drake Motor Company back when you picked up the phone and the operator said "Number please." Miss Margaret, without hesitation, said "13." Daddy called me back with the number, and I put it on the truck. Build it as a fun driver that you can take anywhere, safe and reliable, and enjoy it. Focus on the mechanical stuff before the cosmetics so you can get it on the road as soon as possible.

You should paint it like that one from Hot Rod Mag back in the 50's, the one they used as a support vehicle. I just went back and looked at the mag covers but didn't see it, it was white with era red flames.

OH MAN!!!! Reversed rear spring eyes, 2" dropped front and five spokes or Halibrands. I'd kill for one like that. Great score. The icing would be a 392 under the hood. That things got me all excited, and I own an F-1 already.

the owner was trying to sell it for a while but i guess the asking price was to high and it had all four flats, so it was a ***** to get the ******* out of the mud...So, the house where it was at was up for rent and it had to go fast... I got the call first.. Oh-yeah!!
