Hot Rods Just shooting from the hip here but can it be done

Can I step the back frame like in vern tardel's book while still having the rear attached and all the chassis still there..... yea ive been drinking and looking at my 31 full chassy, I pulled the body and the thought of tearing down all that stuff just for 30min worth of welding makes me lazy
Yea I know I would levaleverything but ive been gazing for a while and I think its possible
anyone care to shoot it down or give it a thumbs up

wellits only leveling and then tacking and boxing the stepin I figures with it all still attached it wouldnt move on my any....

Hell yes, they only disassembled for the fun in it.
