I grew up in Perth on the West Coast, but have been living in Sydney for just obver two years now. Sydney is WAY over the other side of the country on the East Coast. Same place they held the Lympics in 2000, but you probably knew that. Recently moved to Dee Why, which is part of the Northern Beaches in Sydney. Not too far from Narrabeen, the same beach that the Beach Boys mention in Surfin' USA.
I knew where Perth and Sydney were....I've got a Friend outside of Brisbane....So is it true Aussies think Queenslanders are a little "funny" in the head?-hehe
[ QUOTE ] ....So is it true Aussies think Queenslanders are a little "funny" in the head?-hehe [/ QUOTE ] You betcha! They're a whole different kettle of fish up there. Brisbane isn't too bad, but the further North you get... Look out! Queensland is like Australia's South. They all talk a bit slower and with a real Aussie drawl.
Note: at the end of the sentence add "eh". e.g. 'I recon those (pronounced doe's) sheila's are hot (pronounced ot), eh.....' Cheers, A.
