Another FNG from Texas, halfway between Houston and Austin to be exact. I've been into cars since before I could spell the names. I used to play games going down the road at night. I would see the headlights and tell my mom what kind of car it was before we passed it. I was right about 75% of the time. Anyways, I would beg to go to the grocery store so that I could read the latest Cartoons or Hot Rod. Later on in life it was Truckin, Lowrider, R&C, more Hot Rod, any Mopar mag and so on. I always loved old mopars. 1st memory was a '69 Daytona burning down the tires for the fun of it in front of an old 7-11 I hung out at. The older I got, the more I could sniff out old cars, behind shops, in garages, in fields, anywhere. I've got a '66 Dodge truck, don't know of it's going kustom or gasser yet, either way, there are very few that have been done right. I just sold a '70 barracuda so that I could by my latest, 1957 Savoy. So far, so good. My other is an '05 Dodge Diesel in case I need to haul another project. I'm part of a local club called the niftee 50ees, we are focused on all things nostalgic, old cars, diners, bench racing. We put on a weekly gathering and average about 250 cars each Saturday. Everything from Boyd look alikes to homegrown treasures. That's it. That's me. Accept me, bash me, whatever, just don't flick boogers.
