A friend of mine hooked me up the other day with some parts for a project. Among them was some aluminum 1 piston brake calipers. I just got these last night and haven't had a chance to tear into em yet. Anybody familiar with these? Does the K-H stand for Kelsey-Hayes? Any idea if rebuild parts are still available or where I might look for info? Thanks

Speedway used to have parts and pads for old oddball calipers.

  3. Yep, Kelsey Hayes. And, Ian's right, Speedway has KH and Airheart pads and I believe some other rebuild parts. Those are great calipers by the way.

Bringin' this back up. I bought a wierd setup at the last swap meet. There are two of these KH 800 H-2 calipers on one chrome bracket (for each side), that are supposed to fit a Ford 9" rearend. There is a braided hose that connects the two calipers, with a fitting in the middle that would lead to the hard line on the axle, I guess.

I would like to know what era these type of calipers were produced and used? Anybody know any "name" cars that had these KH calipers on them, either a weird setup like I bought, or singles on a front axle? The cardboard box my setup was in had "Altered Brakes" written on it. Maybe it was installed on a wild (One Hand Willy) altered at one time?
