My friends Kevin & Ann Frances (they have the green 41 Plymouth) is having an open house at his new location in Huntington Beach. He asked me to extend an open invitation to to all HAMB folk who want to come and see the shop and the cars, enjoy some cold beverages, and warm grub. Should be a good time! Here is the info: SUNDAY NOVEMBER 13TH 11:00AM - 4:00PM KA Custom 17702 Metzler Lane Huntington Beach, CA 92647 714-375-4787 kacustom@yahoo.com See ya there. FONZI
Just booked the far Away Boys to play at Kevin and Anns shin dig! Theyre a great rockabilly group that play at the gypsy lounge and the doll hut a lot. Should be a good time for all.
I misread this and showed up today (Sat). I had met Keven & Ann at the HAMB BBQ last month, nice folks. They do some really nice work too. But here's what led me to add to this thread: They have a little boy about 4 years old. While I was there sucking up their beer and getting in the way the little fella took a soft plactic toy fighter plane, maybe an F-14(?) and cut the wings off of it with some kid sissors and made it, no, IMPROVED it into a short winged rocket. Just got busy and went to work. The future of hot rods and custom cars is in good hands. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, I'd say. Kid has a strong work ethic. A Tip of the Viper Top hat to Keven & Ann. chili ;-)

Yes. I do have good pix. I have to wait till I hit the local Costco and then up load from my digi.I have them put onto cd form then I put it into my cd rom drive and then the magic happens! Man, that sounded ghetto! I don't have the setup to do so from my camera to the puter. I will do so and put onto this thread asap for all to see. Thanx Fonzi! KNUX!
[ka custom] thanks for coming out to our shop's open house. really appreciate it. next time we can make it on a saturday instead of a sunday. always good to see y'all.
Wow, good timing has given me the pleasure of being one of the first to welcome Kevin to the HAMB. His build-skills speak for themselves, and I will say that his car was probably my favorite at Paso. Very cool to talk to, and didn't stress in the least, even when his rad-hose blew in the parking lot. Looking forward to reading your posts, man! -murph
