KABANG!@$*&

  1. Here is a good reason not to let your teenage son/daughter drive your kit Cobra. Especially when it has a real 427! Built at that! This motor had one of those aluminum T pans, which don't have the best gate set up in the sump, so around the corners the oil pressure drops. Ouch!

So is the kid grounded until 2010, or was he/she granted clemency with a 2006 end date and a block sanding work program?

SHIT that sucks, if I did that to a car that my dad owned, the picture would be a bit different, the rod would be sticking halfway out of my head [IMG]. The rest of the motor ok??

I agree........ One of my customers, has bought their WORTHLESS son(age 25,lives at home after being kicked out of the Air Force!),3 Dodge Dakota pickups in the last 5 years. He has totaled every damn one of them. And lived. If I would have tore up just ONE of my fathers vehicles, you'd be reading about me,on a headstone...........

  6. The back ground looks familiar... where was that picture taken?

  9. The pic in the back was me @ Palmdale 2 yrs ago. The block and heads and all the big stuff is ok, but the valve train, all rods/pistons are junk. Gonna be an expensive one to fix! yeah my Dad woulda kicked the shit outta me for sure. Now I have some cool paper weights, oh boy.

cheap ass ford motor... I can not believe your son could have beat on the car worse then you have, unless he was twisting up some very high RPM's.. was probably ready to go and his timing was wrong, why didn't you have a better oil pan if you knew this could happen.... Sucks it happened...

Wanna sell that piece of junk?? [IMG] "Cheap?" [IMG]

I've gotten some good deals that way...! [IMG]

Some were free because of blown motors but I liked the severely discounted because they didn't know what the problem was??? [IMG]

One was a distributor cap, another ran out of gas but the gauge showed a half tank, and another had a bad wire to the battery! [IMG] [IMG]

  12. Hope your kid has a job, I'd make him pay for the parts at the very least, then make him re-install the engine.

    my .02

I blew up a microwave (making a smoke bomb) back when microwaves were $350. Had to pay back every penny.

    I understand where you are.
I have three sons with all the growing pains they went through. some, I inflicted.
I had to pull a SS396 in one morning that was making a "funny" noise.
The only problem, when I got there it was not making ANY noise.
The oil level was non existant, the black marks near where I picked up the car told the story.
